Michaels provides custom energy analysis for large commercial and industrial custom efficiency programs.  Analysis tools include an extensive library of custom calculations developed by Michaels’ staff as well as packaged simulation applications such as Radiance and DOE-2.  Since 1999, Michaels has evaluated and provided energy analysis for over 4,000 projects accounting for savings of 950 million kWh, 225 MW, and 15 million therms with customer savings of nearly $60 million.

Technologies analyzed range from HVAC system retrofits and replacements, to industrial process modifications or upgrades for customers including food processers, bio fuel producers, cement manufacturers, steel mills, metal fabrication and assembly plants, electronics and semiconductor manufacturers, agriproducts processors, and many others.

Project Measurement & Verification (M&V)

Michaels provides pre and post verification of system design and operation for the largest and most complex custom efficiency projects and has performed M&V for commercial and industrial programs in nineteen states from Hawaii to Connecticut.  Michaels has provided M&V for residential programs to include low income and demand response, provides technical reviews of customer projects for many custom program, and provides monitoring and metering services in support of M&V.
