Industrial Process Optimization
Michaels’ broad and deep understanding of engineering fundamentals combined with expertise in process optimization results in major energy savings for a wide variety of industrial customers. Five recent studies resulted in development of cost effective projects (typically 2-year paybacks or less) that would deliver 44 million kWh, 6.3 MW, and 425,000 therms. Measures that represent the great majority of these savings were implemented. We also completed a Retrocommissioning study for a large food processing facility that saved them 3 million kWh and 110,000 therms annually for cost savings of $300,000 per year. Specific projects include:
- 3M, Cottage Grove, MN
- Proctor and Gamble, Green Bay, WI
- Quaker Oats, Cedar Rapids, IA
- Nestle Nutrition, Eau Claire, WI
- Hormel Foods, Dubuque, IA
